Implementation of the Office of Institutional Integrity in public universities in Peru

Abstract

Public integrity policies, strategies and plans must be effectively implemented in public universities. There are too many gaps that are usually observed between what is stipulated in the regulations and what comes to fruition in the day to day of public universities in Peru. Specifically, the challenge consists of understanding and anchoring the regulations in the organizational realities of public universities to achieve effective changes in behavior. The main objective of this article is to present a proposal for the implementation of the Office of Institutional Integrity in public universities in Peru. For the development of the article, a qualitative review of the current regulatory framework was used. From this analysis, it was concluded that, in the public universities of Peru, the Office of Institutional Integrity is a second-level organizational advisory body dependent on the Rectorate.
