Abstract

The viral challenge called "the one who falls asleep last wins" has become popular on TikTok and consists of ingesting clonazepam to induce sleep. This challenge has serious consequences for minors, since the inappropriate use of tranquilizers can have dangerous side effects. Clonazepam is a drug from the benzodiazepine family that is used to control seizures and panic attacks, but its non-prescription use can lead to risks such as drug dependence and drug interaction. In addition, other dangerous challenges have been reported, such as the blue whale challenge, which is linked to suicide. It is essential that parents are aware of their children's online activities, that teachers are trained in new technologies and that public policies are implemented to prevent these situations. In the face of a dangerous challenge, it is recommended to report it to the corresponding platform, the police or organizations against cyberbullying and online violence. Children must learn to differentiate between harmless and dangerous challenges, develop critical thinking, and have open communication with their parents. Reporting these challenges is crucial to prevent more people from falling into these traps.
